RCOC at the NEC Classic Motor Show

The club has once again pulled off an impressive display at the NEC Classic Motor Show thanks to our hard working organisers and volunteers, and of course owners who put their cars forward and were selected for display on the stand.

This is the first year the club has attended the 2 major classic car shows at the NEC with the first being the Restoration Show back in March.

For those that don’t know the Classic Motor Show takes place over 3 days every November. However it takes weeks of preparation and hard work and is testament to those that get stuck in and help out.

If you missed us or didn’t realise we were attending, keep an eye out on the website and forum in future and look out for more upcoming events next year. It was a great weekend and we are happy to welcome several new members who joined our ranks at the show: We look forward to seeing you and your cars again soon!

AGM 2019 takes place at Coventry Transport Museum

Club members were invited to the 2019 Annual General Meeting at the Coventry Transport Museum last weekend. We had a good turn out, productive discussion and an enjoyable day out, as you can see from the photos below. Further details and minutes of the meeting will be made available to members soon and we have plenty of new goals for the year ahead.

Thank you to everyone who attended for your valuable input and all those involved in the organisation of the AGM.

A new beginning for the club

A warm welcome and hello to everyone reading this!

As some of you will know since our first AGM in January 2018, the elected committee have been hard at work preparing for the launch of the Rover Coupe Owners Club as a fully fledged owners club. Following on from the positive reception of this new direction we aim to create a sustainable club offering many benefits and value for money for paid members, while remaining an open and socially welcoming environment for anyone with an interest in the Rover 200 Coupe.

As website administrator I am pleased to say the website has officially launched and hope it will prove a useful resource for all our members and be an important part of the successful operation of the club as well as continuing to serve the community as it has in the past, with the club growing and prospering well into the future.

Take a look around and let us know what you think. We’ve all done a lot of work towards this milestone, and there’s still plenty to come!
